Specialising in care and support for people living with young onset dementia.
Peaceful Place was established in 1996 by members of Shoebury Baptist Church to offer specialised help and support for people in South East Essex living with young onset dementia.
Our Day Care Service operates five days a week with a high staff to member ratio. Our aim is to stimulate the mental, physical and social skills of our members in an appropriate environment. We achieve this by providing a wide range of recreational activities such as day trips , snooker, table tennis, arts and crafts, games and quizzes, keep fit, singing and dancing , drum therapy, pet therapy, live entertainment, cookery and gardening.
Carers also benefit from our work and can have time for themselves knowing that the person they care for is being looked after in a safe, caring and happy environment. Working with the Community Mental Health Teams, Social services,Memory Clinic , Alzheimer's Society and the Dementia Advocacy Service you can be sure our members receive the best care, advice and support whilst they are at Peaceful Place.
